Brisbane Roar @ Skilled Park

Yesterday a few colleagues from work, Tony and me went down to the Gold Coast to see the Brisbane Roars first game of the new A-League season. It was a nice day at Skilled Park and Brisbane played against Gold Coast United. Unfortunately the game ended 0:0 but it was still a good game to watch. Many chances on both sides and good savings from both keepers. Brisbane was close to the winning goal but they couldn’t get past the Gold Coast keeper. They also have a new german attacking midfielder. Thomas Broich (ex-Nürnberg, ex-Kaiserslautern) made a good game and seems to make a positive impact to the Roar side.

I attached a few pictures of Skilled Park from my mobile. Once again the attendance was disappointing. Only 6500 spectators game to the game, although it was the Queensland derby.

Back in business!

After weeks of unsucessful searching for a new job I finally found something. Since last week I work as a Developer for www.mywork.com.au. MyWork is a small business specializing in building websites for other small businesses. We are only a very small team so far and I’m responsible for most of the technical issues, like servers, databases and the coding of our own CMS My first week went really well and I’m happy that I finally found something. Beeing the ‘Hausmann’ was ok for a while, but it is definitely not my cup of tea for a longer period Unfortunately my office is located in Cornubia which is south of Brisbane. I need around 40 min to get there and the quickest way is by a toll-road. But this is the only downside of the job.

Only one more day of work ahead

I just realised that I have to take my remaining holidays before I finish work at the ISST. That means, that next Monday will be my last working day. That’s pretty cool, but somehow I fell kind of sad about it… Anyway if anyone is interested in the stuff I did at the ISST, just check out our aXBench-Website.
