Merry Christmas & Frohe Weihnachten

Dear friends,

Nat, Finlay & me celebrated our christmas yesterday German style, which means we already had our “Bescherung” in the afternoon of the 24th. Although it was only the three of us we had a wonderful evening with many presents especially for Mr. F. Of course this years christmas is a little bit sad for me, simply because I really miss home this time of the year.

We hope you all had a wonderful christmas, lots of present and a bearable hangover the next day. I uploaded a couple of pictures of Finlay unwrapping his presents.

Arrived in Chapel Hill

It has been a while since I blogged the last time, but we were quite busy with our move to Chapel Hill in Brisbane. I also had a lot to do to finish my thesis, but I finally handed it in last week. It really is a relief to have something like this finish. We also got a new fast internet connection which gave me the chance to upload a couple of pictures from Finlay while he was opening his birthday presents. I know it’s already a couple of weeks ago, but some of the presents came late anyway. There is also a little video of him playing with his new Lego Duplo train he got from his grandparents. He really loves that thing, but sometime Daddy has some fun with it too We also tried to introduce Santa Claus to Finlay this year, but he wasn’t really interested. Santa had to bribe him with lollies as you can see on the picture
